Webflow is cool

Webflow is awesome!

If you havent tried it yet, you gotsta get on the boat quick. Using webflow has been an awesome experience so far. That said, the learning curve can be a gradual incline but the experience I brought with me from years building with noCode tools and familiarity with CSS/Flexbox (thanks to building with Bubble and Thunkable) has been supremely helpful. I would imagine the platform being a bit overwhelm for a newbie to coding if they try to just jump in without watching some videos first. The time it took to get my site live today was miniscule compared to the time it takes to get up and running with numerous other website builders I have used over the years including:

  1. Wordpress/Elementor
  2. Dorik
  3. Wix
  4. GoDaddy
  5. Google Sites
  6. Hostingers website builder
  7. Ionos's website builder
  8. PoryHQ
  9. Dreamweaver

Things I learned today:

1) Youtube is your friend to learn little tricks quickly but be aware of the age of the video. Be sure to find something more recent. This should be fairly simple as Webflow seems to keep a fresh stock of videos in rotation. I learned a lot in about 20 minutes. I'd love to see the academy videos and see how I can up my game.
2) Animations are incredibly easy to produce if you have something in mind that doesn't already exist. Today I created 3 custom animations to produce flying across the screen and flip to reveal effects. So cool!
3) There is an awesome color contrast tool for design impaired individuals like myself. You can find this my clicking onto a text element, then click over in the typography settings, then the color swatch and at the bottom of that modal you will see a rating provided for the color of the text against its background.
