Who is the CodlessConsultant?

Jared Gibb, aka the CodelessConsultant, is a 3-year noCode veteran. Jared, (me), began my journey into noCode like many of us. I was searching for someone to build an app for me.

I am a behavior analyst and a big part of that work is related to taking/recording or analyzing behavioral data. One of the biggest populations I work with is parents of children with autism. One of the biggest problems or pain points I saw in this task was that parents are often busy parents or have hectic lives preventing them from 1) recording meaningful behavior data and 2) implementing the interventions I have recommended to them. Moreover, the parents that I work with really wanted to do this stuff, they just struggled to manage all the moving parts in their life.

Now imagine you're in grad school learning to change human behavior to improve 'the human condition' and the aforementioned situation was presented to you. You might make the same jump as me and say, let's solve it! And then, if you're even more like I was, you might say "let's solve it with an app!", as I did. And if you're even more like I was, you'll search the app stores and soon learn there are very few, if any, solid candidates for this type of task.

to stay, or to go?!

Here i was confronted with a choice. Have an app built or research something else. My graduate advisor was not budging too far since I had already went outside his box with my current idea. Either I do the app study or use one of his options.

I stayed the course... after searching the internet for hours, I decided I would dip into my pocket an hire someone on Fiverr to build an app. Bad choice.... hundreds of dollars and days later I realized that this wasn't a task that would be built on Fiverr for only a few hundred dollars. If I wanted to build this, I would need to do it myself.

What next

Now I am scouring the internet again for "build an app" tutorials and becoming overwhelmed with all of the different languages and options out there. The hundreds (if not thousands) of individuals offering their java/javascript/flutter/react/react native/rust tutorials on how to build to-do apps. TF am i going to do with a to-do app?! I was dumbfounded but kept searching and ended up finding Scratch, then AI2, and then finally Thunkable and the rest is history!

I poured hundreds of hours into learning how to build in Thunkable including watching javascript tutorials as the two can be related at times and Thunking incorporates a lot of standard programming concepts (loops, variables, functions, scoping, API's, etc). There were so many tears of frustration and yips of joy. So many moments being shutout by my loved ones as i droned on about this cool new #nocode stuff. Then, months later a useable version of the Behavior Report card was birthed! To date it has received over 1300 app registrations and has remained free.

Fast forward and here we are

Since the first real app, I have assisted in building countless apps with others. I have provided services ranging from 1-on-1 coaching or "build-with-you" services to full blown project management where I receive an idea, scope the build, price the build, then build it out and provide follow-up support.

I excel with Bubble and Thunkable but am familiar with a variety of noCode platforms! I love to chat about Thunkable, Bubble, and technology! Let's chat!!
